Athletic Director Updates

Athletics is an effective avenue to develop attributes and skills of leadership, sportsmanship, teamwork, physical strength, work ethic, and mental discipline.

"Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man which striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown: but we an incorruptible." -- 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 (KJV)

• Athletes must maintain a 2.0 or higher GPA. - Athletes must never get lower than a 'D' on a report card in any class.

Athletes must have a Physical Examination dated within one calendar year of the ending date of the sport they are participating in. (Please turn in a copy to the athlete office and the hard copy to the school office.)

Upon request and approval of the athletic department and administration, a student may participate with a Pac Five, Pac West, or combined school team under the guidelines of the ILH.

The school requests that each student/athlete meet with the athletic department to ensure that the athlete understands the following when participating with one of these teams:

• the philosophy, views, and content of one of these teams may not necessarily reflect those of Hanalani Schools
• Hanalani Schools does not have direct control or authority over the administration, coaching staff or personal of said team
• academic and behavior requirements
• transportation to and from practices and games
• fee assessment for participation(directly from the Pac Five/Pac West athletic Dept)
• general student/athlete guidelines such as: Proper dress apparel, attendance for practices, etc.
• maintaining proper testimony as a Hanalani student and representative
