Financial Assistance
& Scholarships

With the understanding that the cost of attending Hanalani may pose a financial burden for some families, the Board of Trustees has established the Hanalani Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) to assist families.

                     

Qualification for TAP

Financial aid is awarded on the basis of economic need. In order to receive an award, families must demonstrate that they have a need for financial assistance.

Hanalani Schools does not currently offer merit based scholarships.
                     

Applying for TAP

Hanalani Schools partners with School and Student Services by NAIS (SSS) in our financial aid process. The deadline for a TAP application and submission of all supporting documents is March 15th.

                        If you choose to mail your supporting documentation, please mail by March 5th to allow for mail to deliver and SSS processing.
                     

Determination of Award

SSS determines need by using a formula that considers all areas of a family's financial situation. Determining factors may include:
                       
  • total income of parents
  • family size
  • medical/dental expenses
  • savings and investments
  • unusual expenses and debts
  • number of children in tuition-charging schools
                       

To make our decision, we use the information from the PFS as a starting point. We also consider our school policy and practices, as well as the budget we have available and validate all required documents.

Here are a few of the many scholarships that Hanalani students have used while attending our school. Because the scholarships below are not affiliated directly with Hanalani, completing an FI-01 Application for Financial Assistance does not apply to them.
