K5 Strongman Challenge

K5 wrapped up their STRONGMAN CHALLENGE and learned valuable lessons along the way!

During their three-week Project Based Learning (PBL) experience, the K5 students learned the significance of the Strongman and in response, asked themselves, “how can we, as K5 Strongmen, use our strengths to help community members in need?”

They created a pledge drive to raise money for the restoration of Lahaina through Harbor Church. Through different drills in their P.E. classes, K5 Strongmen earned strips which were later exchanged for coins. Medals were also awarded to students with outstanding performances. State Representative Lauren Matsumoto meet with our K5 Strongmen and shared about the importance of working hard to become good servant leaders in our community.

Their coins raised a grand total of $565.13! Awesome job, K5 Strongmen! Learning to be SERVANT LEADERS at such a young age is AWESOME!
