Hanalani's Model United Nations Team Are Proud Servant Leaders in the Community!

Hanalani's annual Model United Nations conference was held on Saturday, March 25. Fifty students from five schools applied to participate in three committees. Topics included social media, illegal arms trade, and a spy balloon crisis. Steve Castonguay who serves as the Deputy Director of the Center for Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance (CFE-DM) provided the opening address.

Our Model UN team members are also proud to be servant leaders in our community!

“HanaMUN's goal is to start a new MUN program at another school each year, or help other programs take the next step in hosting or helping lead a MUN conference. Last year HanaMUN partnered with Mililani High School. This year Mililani hosted their own independent conference. We love seeing MUN grow across the islands!” Explained Dr. Robert Black, MUN Program Advisor.

This year HanaMUN 2023, partnered with Waipahu High School and invited their program to host a committee on Hanalani’s campus. We are excited about the possibility of a Waipahu High School MUN conference next school year!
