Royal Merit Scholarship Luncheon 2022

On Thursday, October 20, 2022, we held the Royal Merit Scholarship Luncheon to recognize our Royal Merit Scholarship (RMS) recipients for School Year 2022-23. This luncheon was special because it was the first RMS luncheon in a couple years that parents and sponsors were invited to join the students, due to previous COVID restrictions.

 

The Royal Merit Scholarship is available to 7-12^th Grade students who are involved in co-curricular activities in the following three categories: STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), Fine Arts, and Leadership. Awarded scholarships are applied to Hanalani tuition. Scholarships can range from $400-$2,000 per year, and student can apply in all the three categories. To be considered, students must also submit a 250-word essay and obtain two references for each category for which they are applying. Their applications are reviewed by a committee.

 

Funds for the Royal Merit Scholarship are raised each year through the Royals Golf Classic. This school year’s tournament will be the 10^th Annual and will be held at the Hawaii Prince Golf Club on Friday, April 21, 2023.
