  • New School Year Packets

    You will receive a new school year packet in the mail. This will include a letter from the Upper School Principal and the following hard copy forms. We ask that you review, and update any necessary changes, sign, and then return them to the Upper School office or email a pdf file to upperschool@hanalani.org by Friday, July 12, 2024:

  • Digital Forms/Acknowledgements

    A yellow bar will appear at the top of the page when you log in to your MyHanalani account. If the bar is visible when you log in this indicates you have forms that need to be completed.

    The following forms need to be signed prior to the start of School Year 2024-2025:
    1. Upper School Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Policy Form
    2. Permission for Use of Likeness/Materials Forms (ALL-04)
    3. Permission for Treatment & Release
    4. Upper School Parent and Student Handbook Signature Form

  • New Parent Welcome

    Our Admissions team will host an orientation session on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 5:30 PM for families who are new to our Hanalani `Ohana this school year. More information will be sent via email. 

  • Upper School New Student Orientation

    New Student Orientation (including all incoming 7th Graders) will be held Monday, August 12, 2024, from 10 AM - 1 PM in the Student Activity Center (SAC) Gym.
    Students will be given a quick overview of the school, meet our teachers and student leaders, be shown their schedule, and tour the campus. Lunch will also be provided.

  • School Uniforms

    Upper School Specific: Polo shirts and uniform bottoms should be worn Monday-Friday. If you are signed up for PE class, bring your PE uniform with you on PE days.

    Uniforms for All Students:
    Every student is required to have a purple "We are Hanalani" t-shirt, which is available for purchase ONLY from the Campus Store.

    On Wednesdays, any Hanalani shirt may be worn with uniform bottoms.

    On Fridays, Aloha attire may be worn. Please follow the student handbook on specific attire rules.


    All students who have PE are required to wear the gray Hanalani PE shirt, which is available for purchase ONLY from the Campus Store.

    Uniforms are available at our Campus Store and from Lands' End.

    Purple "We are Hanalani" shirts and PE shirts can only be purchased at our Campus Store.

  • First Day of School

    The first day of school, Tuesday, August 13, 2024, will be a regular, full day.
    Students are required to wear the Hanalani Schools uniform on this day.

    Homeroom listings will be posted on the outside of Founder's Hall and Weinberg buildings on Friday, August 9, 2024.
  • Upper School New Parent Orientation

    Monday, August 26
    Student Activity Center (SAC) Gym and Upper School Classrooms
    6:30 PM
    This orientation is for New Upper School parents only. Come meet with US Admin Staff, College and Academic Services, Student Life, and Department Chairs. Q&A Session will be held.

    An invitation with RSVP details will be emailed. 

  • Food Service & Campus Store

    The Royal Cafe (food service) is open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday. Please preorder before 8 PM the night before. School lunch will be available starting on the first day of school.

    The Campus Store is open from 8 AM - 4 PM Monday through Friday. For families purchasing uniforms and school supplies, please make an appointment by calling: 625-0737 x188. 

    Students should use their school ID badge for contactless payment. Prior to picture/ID day, you may purchase using your first and last name at checkout. 


    NEW STUDENT FAMILIES for SY 24-25, you will receive an email to set up your account.
  • Health Requirements

    If you received a notification about missing health information or vaccination records, please turn in an updated Student Health Record (ENR-09B) Student Health Record, Grades 4-12, and pertinent documents to the Upper School Office by the first day of school if you have not already done so.

    All student-athletes in grades 7-12 must submit a valid Athletic Physical form (ENR-09B) prior to participation (including tryouts). This must be completed, signed, and dated by a physician. Athletic Physicals are good for 1 year and need to be completed every year you would like to participate in sports (i.e., If you took your physical on August 1, 2023, it would expire on August 1, 2024).


  • Picture Day

    Wednesday, August 28, 2024, will be Picture Day for all Upper School students. Aloha attire is encouraged. All students must take a school picture for an ID badge and the yearbook. Note: The student ID badge will be used for contactless payment and to check out library books.
  • Services Addition & Removal Form

    If you would like to add additional services (Before-/After-School Care, private music lessons, summer programs, etc.) complete and submit one (ENR-13A) Services Addition form per student.
    If you would like to remove additional services complete and submit one (ENR-31B) Services Removal form per student.

    All services are subject to availability; registration for optional programs is processed on a first-come, first-served basis. All charges for selections will be included in your Blackbaud Tuition Management account. Cancellation of services received after August 1, 2024, will result in a $65 service fee. submit one form per student.

  • Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

    Students in Grades 7-12 will need to bring their own device (BYOD) to school. This would include a laptop, tablet, or slate. We have included recommended specs for their technology use. View: Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) FAQs

    Minimum requirements for student devices:
    • Operating System: Windows 10/11, latest Chrome OS, macOS 11.4+
    • System Memory (RAM): 8+ GB for Windows/Mac, 4+ GB for Chromebook
    • Storage type: SSD (recommended)
    • Wireless 802.11ac or faster
    • Battery Life: Minimum 5 hours
    • Antivirus Software
    For Windows devices: During the initial setup, if prompted for an email, please use a personal account and not the Hanalani student account.

    Chromebooks must be set up with a personal Google account as the owner prior to adding the students Hanalani account.

      • There are two ways to set up the student’s Hanalani Google account.
        1. Use the student’s Hanalani Google account as another user.
        2. Link a personal user account with the school account.
    iPads that support the latest iPadOS 17 are acceptable.
    Microsoft 365 is available for students in Grades 4-12.

    Due to their smaller screen size, cell phones, and other similar smart devices are not encouraged for your child’s educational activities.

    Students in Grades 7-12 need to sign the BYOD policy form via the MyHanalani account.

  • Transportation Pick-Up/Drop-Off Selection Form

    If you need to sign up for transportation, you can download, complete, and submit form ENR-14 Transportation Selection Form 2024-25 to the Upper School Office. The ENR-14 transportation form includes policies, pricing, and drop-off and pick-up options. Please note routes and availability are subject to change and seats are limited.
