OPERATION MAKING HISTORY CLUB
Operation Making History began as a STEAM Project in 2020, however due to COVID it was put on hold. After COVID restrictions were eased, a few students wanted to see the project through and formed the student-led Operation Making History Club. Their goal is to honor World War II veterans through student-produced artwork that will be displayed in the different Pearl Harbor Museums.
The team used their free time to work on the art pieces and partnered with teachers and administrators to find the supplies needed to complete them. After overcoming obstacles, they recently finished a beautiful art piece for the USS Missouri. They were invited to a presentation on the ship and given a private tour. Their perseverance gained them not only recognition for their hard work and dedication, but valuable life-lessons.
