4th Graders get Enlightened about Hand Washing
Our school nurse Britne' Terrell demonstrated to our 4th graders the importance of proper hand washing to ensure that their hands were clean and clear of germs. First, she had them apply hand lotion and then looked at the their seemingly "clean" hands under a blacklight.
Our 4th graders were surprised at how "unclean" their hands really were. After properly washing their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, as instructed by Nurse Terrell, they once again viewed their hands under the blacklight. This time, it was clean.
