Grade 4 students created a beautiful installation of butterflies for their Project Based Learning (PBL) unit in honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day. Their driving question for the project was how they can create an emotional and meaningful art display to share with our school community that shows hope, courage, and peace to honor and remember the 1.5 million children who died in the Holocaust.

MAHALO to Mr. Ilan Amir, who was the guest speaker for this PBL. His family was directly affected by the Holocaust, and he shared a powerful presentation on the Holocaust, exploring its historical context and the realities of war. His presentation also emphasized messages of light, hope, and resilience, which are reflected in the butterfly art installation.

Stop by our Castle Memorial Library, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8:00AM - 11:00AM. Everyday after school from 3:30PM -4:00PM, to experience this beautiful art installation. It will be on display until the end of this quarter.
